How to Program the Dreambox DM600 PVR
The Dreambox DM 600 PVR is a personal video recorder that can be used in conjunction with your satellite, cable or terrestrial broadcast programming service. With an internal hard drive installed, the device can be used to program and record upcoming shows for you to play back later. You can program your recordings from the on-screen display menu.
Instructions

Press the "TV" button on the remote to open the TV menu.

Press the "Info" button to open the electronic program guide.

Use the arrow keys to select "Channel EPG" and press "OK" on the remote.

Scroll to the desired channel and select the program that you wish to record.

SpringSource dm Server is a software product developed by VMware intended for web administrators who want to distribute applications built in Java. SpringSource dm is open source, meaning that it is free to download and distribute, and the source code is available. Because it is open source, it enables developers to port, or convert it, to other operating systems. Spring dm is available for the Linux platform, and can be installed with relative ease.

Download SpringSource dm Server to a new folder labeled "SpringSource Install."

Change the permissions of the folder "SpringSource Install" to allow files to be written. Launch terminal and type "Usage: chmod w SpringSource Install" in order to change the permission of the directory to "write".

Launch Terminal from your desktop and type "unzip springsource-dm-server-1.0.2.RELEASE.zip -d /SpringSource Install" to extract and install the downloaded files into "SpringSource Install".

There are many reasons to connect your satellite receiver directly to your PC, a primary one being to record television shows, movies and other programs onto your hard drive. Saving movies and programs you watch only occasionally to hard drive also can save space on your DVR.
Instructions

Locate the RCA "Audio/Video Output" ports on the back of your satellite receiver--three round ports, color-coded yellow, red and white. Insert one end of your RCA audio/video cables into these ports, making sure to respect the color-coding.

Insert the other ends of the wires into the "Analog In" ports on your Canopus box, again paying attention to the color-coding.

Insert one end of your Firewire into the "Digital I/O" port of the Canopus box. Plug the other end into the Firewire or 1394 port on your computer.

Set the Canopus box to "Analog In," so it will receive a signal from the satellite box and send it to your PC
Tips & Warnings

How to Flash Pansat 250SM
The Pansat 250SM FTA receiver connects to your satellite system to acquire FTA, or free-to-air, programming. FTA programming does not use any encryption methods so you don't have to pay any hefty fees to link up to the signal. However, the Pansat does require up-to-date programming and satellite information to connect to the signal. Use a USB drive to flash or program the receiver with the latest software.
Instructions

Open a Web browser and go to FTA Supreme. (See "Resources" below.) Click the "Download Now" link next to the Pansat 250SM entry to download the new software files to be flashed to the receiver.

Connect the USB drive to your computer's USB port. Click "Start" and click "Computer." Double-click the "USB Drive" entry to gain access to the to the drive's internal memory.

Click the downloaded files and drag them into the USB drive's folder. Disconnect the USB drive from your computer.

Open the latch on the front panel of the Pansat to expose the USB port. Insert the drive into the USB port and turn on the receiver to flash the downloaded software files to the receiver's memory.cheap wholesale from China

How to Use ProgDVB With a USB Box TV
ProgDVB is a software tool for watching cable TV channels and listening to radio stations on your computer. By attaching a cable TV source to your computer via a converter device, such as a USB TV tuner, you can send your cable TV service to your computer and watch it on your monitor as a convenient alternative to watching it on a TV. If you own a USB box TV and need to integrate it with your ProgDVB software, you can do so in just a few simple steps.
Instructions

Attach the USB connection on the TV tuner to your computer's USB port. Depending on the make and model of the USB TV tuner you are using, there may be an attached USB cable or a metal USB connector built into one side of the tuner.

Install the software drivers that came with your USB TV tuner. Again, this varies slightly depending on the make and model of the USB TV tuner you are using, but typically software drivers can be installed either from a CD that came with your tuner, or off of the USB TV tuner's website.
