How to Use ProgDVB With a USB Box TV
ProgDVB is a software tool for watching cable TV channels and listening to radio stations on your computer. By attaching a cable TV source to your computer via a converter device, such as a USB TV tuner, you can send your cable TV service to your computer and watch it on your monitor as a convenient alternative to watching it on a TV. If you own a USB box TV and need to integrate it with your ProgDVB software, you can do so in just a few simple steps.
Instructions

Attach the USB connection on the TV tuner to your computer's USB port. Depending on the make and model of the USB TV tuner you are using, there may be an attached USB cable or a metal USB connector built into one side of the tuner.

Install the software drivers that came with your USB TV tuner. Again, this varies slightly depending on the make and model of the USB TV tuner you are using, but typically software drivers can be installed either from a CD that came with your tuner, or off of the USB TV tuner's website.

Attach a coaxial cable from either a wall cable outlet or from a digital cable box. Screw on the hexagonal coaxial connector until it is just hand-tight on the TV tuner's coaxial connection.

Configure ProgDVB to see your USB tuner TV tuner and perform channel scan. The exact configuration settings to be used on this step vary widely depending on what type of USB TV tuner you are using.
